Phil Charles, the founder of the Transport Futures Institute, is a practitioner and skilled educator and trainer with wide-ranging experience in government, consulting and academia. Phil has extensive experience in transport strategy development, road safety, traffic management, public transport, strategic analysis, institutional strengthening and professional capability development. Phil is an adviser to transport organisations, an Honorary Professor of Transport at the University of Queensland, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern Queensland and has qualifications in civil engineering, transport, business and public administration and higher education.
